I'm trying to look into buying yosd/tiny size dolls right now and i'm curious on resin quality of each company.

I reeeeeally like resin quality of volks and dollshe. It's soft and smooth.... but i reeeeeally hated the resin quality on luts and dollzone... x.x;; I was medium okay with dreamofdoll

any idea on resin quality for other companies? Can you please rate them or review/describe them? I'm curious on latidolls and dollmore specifically, but i'm open for all discussions?

I think it's a bit hard to guage, as everyone has their own personal preferences, some will like the more matte toothsome resins, whereas some will like a more transluscent waxy resin.

It is definately a matter of opinion for sure. Also, an issue of time. Some companies change their resin quality as they learn more, and get older. For example.....

I used to love Dollzone resin. I have a dollzone BB Jing from when they first started selling dolls and released him. The resin is durable, smooth, and actually hasn't yellowed a lot. But i've seen the dolls now, and the resin is lighter, not as smooth, and doesn't seem to hold out on yellowing.

I also have a 5star doll Aiden. And i am IN LOVE with their resin! smooth, and very realistic looking, and comes in RED!

5star resin is quite wonderful! It's gotten better though for sure.

Originally it was very transparent (in the hands, ears and feet) and now it is much more "solid" and not translucent at all and the feel is still amazing.

I do love Bobobie and Resin Soul resin - it's really smooth with no seams. Really nice, but kind of on the thin side.

Soom resin is nice. Also smooth, very little seam lines. I also feel the resin is a bit more durable than some of the other companies.

Fave of course would be Fairyland. As if my collection doesn't speak for itself, but I mostly have CP/Fairyland dolls. I love their resin. I have a tendency to hold and pet doll hands. They do occasionally have seam lines, and very rarely can be in need of some more major sanding, but I feel like the resin is incredibly durable. I've never broken anything on them (Nilavaj's pinky came to me broken, I didn't do it).

I have a Lady Sayuki yo body and that is some awesome resin. Nice and durable, smooth and silky. Not sure who casts her dolls, but I love it.

I like my DZ resin, but I got yellow skin - so it wasn't light and I surely can't tell if it has yellowed. I kind of like the more chunky feel it has. I like my Doll Chateau resin - it is white, but it is too new to know about yellowing. Her casting is very delicate. My IOS resin is crazy thin and pretty wonderful, I keep having to look at it and say, are you sure that's not plastic? Nope, it's resin all right.

I like Penny's Hujoo resin too - she's white and the blushing in her ears is great. The paint on her paw pads doesn't get chipped off.

You know, I'm not going to be a good judge, 'cause I like the resin on all my dolls - The gray skin of my Souldoll Centaur is beautiful - no marbling or pits. The soom seems lighter in weight somehow - though I do have some significant seams in the big boys - the Iplehouse is a bit more waxy. The Resin Soul is nicely sanded & I don't think it has yellowed.

I think the resin in the Owl is the least nice, but it is probably another creature all together, not being an Asian casting.
